When you use window film, especially Diplomats Window Film, you can block out as much as 90% of infrared heat and 80% of solar heat by causing it to bounce off of the glass and out away from the building. During the winter seasons, the same film will help retain interior heat and reduce heating costs by 20% to 45%. All films have a built in 99% ultra violet but the ICE COOL Green has a 400% UVA UVB UVC, and you will often break even on this investment in less than two years.

Diplomats Window Film can translate into a savings of one ton of air conditioning for every 100 square feet of glass that is filmed. Without film, regular glass will allow the heat to pass through to the interior spaces, where it then naturally accumulates. This accumulated heat is often referred to as heat load, and it must be pumped out of the building with an HVAC system. Window film reduces heat accumulation, which means you are not wasting energy powering HVAC equipment.
